About the series: Fiat Uno Turbo Trophy is a finnish one-make racing series for Fiat Uno Turbo (FIA homologation group N-5278 and A-5278) racecars. There are several modifications that are allowed (for example the turbo can be internally modified). Maximum power output is raised from standard 100 HP up to and even over 200 HP. With minimum weight of 860 kilograms (including the driver) the power-weight-ratio is excellent. Top speed is about 220 km/h, accelleration 0-100 km/h takes under 6 seconds.
The series was launched in 1988 and was supported by Fiat dealership. Since then the production of Uno has seized and the FUTT series has continued at its own. The cars have been preserved quite well and there are numerous cars still in ready-to-race condition.
